Oolong Tea
by mikeyknight93
Oolong tea is a traditional Chinese tea from the Camellia Sinensis plant. This variation is only partly oxidized and then withered under the sun. The variety comes largely in the length of oxidation. The flavor profile can range from sweet all the way to smokey/woody or roasted. After oxidation leaves are curled to give it their notable curled look.
The brewing for this type of tea can vary with many different recommendations. If your tea supplier has instructions, it is suggested you follow them. Their instructions are likely specific to their variation of oolong. If they do not have one, then our recommendation is to use a multiple steep method. This involves steeping a few times for short durations.
